Business Presentations Class for Intermediate Speakers of English as a Second Language

LIMITED TO 10 PARTICIPANTS ONLY.
Learn to give more fluent presentations. Improve your public speaking skills in English. You will build and practice your own presentation. Learn to fluently and effectively present business content to an American audience.
- Grow your confidence and make your presentations interesting.
- Learn to focus on the audience and to speak from a key-word outline.
- Learn key language to make your presentations sound professional.
- Practice speaking in front of a group.
- Improve your gestures, eye contact, and speaking style.
- Learn to write effective notes and presentation slides.
- Use your voice and intonation to speak more clearly.
- Answer audience questions clearly.
- Learn new phrases and vocabulary to clearly express important ideas.
- Practice describing graphs and data.
- Create your own presentation plan to make future presentations simple to create and practice.
Presentations in English do not have to be difficult. This class is designed to help you give presentations more effectively. This class will focus on the needs of nonnative speakers.
We will spend a lot of time practicing formal and confident speaking, learning important phrases and language, and using notes effectively. We will also answer your questions.
In this class, you will create your own presentation. You are welcome to use a presentation from your work or to create a presentation on a topic that you choose.
This class is limited to intermediate speakers of English as a second language. We have another class for advanced speakers at the same day and time. Click here for more information. If you have a question about your level, please call us at 408-524-1649 before you register for the class.
The class will meet for 8 sessions for a total of 16 class hours. Classes will be Tuesday evenings from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. In addition to in-class sessions, expect to have 2 hours of outside work per week.
On the final day of class, you will have the opportunity to give your presentation to the combined intermediate and advanced class participants.

Tuition includes all materials.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations prior to the first day of class will be charged a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations after class has begun will be charged the full tuition. We do not offer exchanges. Ovient reserves the right to cancel the class at anytime due to low enrollment or extenuating circumstances. If we need to cancel the class, you will be offered a full refund.
